Kershaw, S.C. (1/12/2026) – Kershaw Area Resource Exchange (KARE), a nonprofit organization providing crisis assistance, announced today that Olivia Hann has been appointed Executive Director, effective January 1, 2026. She will assume the role from Angie Neal, who will continue serving the organization as Director of Finance and Special Initiatives. During Angie’s tenure, KARE experienced significant growth, including the rebrand and grand opening of its new thrift store, the Exchange by KARE, as well as an expansion of food pantry services and additional programs. These initiatives have strengthened KARE’s presence and broadened its impact throughout the community.
“KARE has seen tremendous growth over the last 13 years, and it has been an honor to lead during that time. It is now time for a new leader with a fresh vision to carry the organization to new heights,” said Angie. “Olivia’s passion for her community and neighbors reflects what KARE is known for and that passion is what this organization needs. As I transition into my new role as Director of Finance, I know that KARE is in great hands and will continue to be a strong organization with strong effective leadership.”
“I am truly honored to step into this new role at KARE,” said Olivia. “Over the past three and a half years, I’ve been blessed to serve as Assistant Director and Public Relations Manager, an experience that has uniquely prepared me for this opportunity. I’ve gained invaluable insight working alongside Angie, and together we’ve formed a strong team by bringing complementary strengths to the work of running a successful nonprofit. I’m excited that she will continue with KARE and look forward to this next chapter as we advance the Board’s strategic vision and continue serving our community.”
“Speaking for the KARE Board of Directors, we are very excited to welcome Olivia to her new role as Executive Director, said Ernie Green, KARE’s Board Chair. “We all look forward to her leadership in the path of service to the community that KARE is known for.”
